ENS Announces New Contract with Landmark Healthcare
Colorado Springs, Colorado - March 7,
2002 - ENS (Electronic Network Systems, formerly EDSS)
recently contracted with Landmark Healthcare Services, Inc., to
deliver HIPAA compliant electronic data to the health plan from
their practitioners. ENS will provide data from its national network
provider clients as well as from electronic gateway partners.
Landmark represents more than 2 million insured members serviced
by more than 6,300 complementary alternative medicine practitioners.
ENS will facilitate and streamline the communication of electronic
transactions from practitioners and enable them to trade electronic
claims and claims status data with Landmark in compliance with HIPAA.
Healthcare payers look to ENS not only to provide clean electronic transactions, they also look to ENS to act as a provider connectivity to effectively deliver e-commerce applications and training to providers. "Landmark chose ENS for its ability to assist us in our HIPAA compliance and practitioner connectivity initiatives. ENS has had great success with many of our health plan business partners," said Debra Tull, Landmark's Chief Operations Officer.
"ENS is pleased with the Landmark partnership and is excited about the enthusiasm and participation Landmark is bringing to the process of enabling their providers to conduct e-commerce," said Hugh Sullivan, SVP Business Development, ENS. ENS delivers comprehensive national payer connectivity as well as regional connectivity to providers through its Health-e Network® suite of services. Healthcare providers benefit by having extensive payer connections accessed through a single network accompanied by top-notch training and service. Providers also gain compliance on transactions defined under HIPAA by using ENS as their solution for provider-to-payer and payer-to-provider transactions.
